Directory for Battambang Area

Hello folks! I am currently in the process of working on a directory for the Battambang area. This directory will be something simple consisting of business name , business type and phone numbers. So if you like for me to list you in the directory, please email me the required information so I can get this started. Since Battambang is growing everyday, and I'm doing this alone and on my own time, this project will take some time. This directory is for the purpose of those that live in Battambang and those that are coming through to be able to find certain things that they are looking for.

                        (Updated) The Gecko has moved to street #1 and is now called The Kitchen.   Food Gecko Cafe is located on the corner of Street 3 and 119. The place sits atop Gecko Moto's. I visit this place lot's of times during my stay in Battambang and when it comes to wanting a little western taste, this is one of my favorite spots. They serve good western food including burgers, pizza, salads and more. They also have Mexican food ranging from tacos to burritos and more. The Taco salad I had last was great and reminded me of home a little. Also, being in Cambodia, you can't forget about the Khmer dishes. I haven't tried alot of Khmer food here but I can say that the fried rice was good. They also serve some alcohol drinks. Cafe Eden in Battambang

This place is one of my favorite spots to grab a beer and chill out. This place is located on Street 1 in between 119th and 121th street. From 3 pm to 7 pm, happy hour is in effect so you can get a glass of ice cold beer for .50 cents. They also have a good selection of good coffee and a menu that can satisfy the most picky. The food is mostly western but that's what I like about it.  They have a breakfast menu, salad menu, sandwiches and great appetizers. So if your new to Battambang, don't forget to stop by here and enjoy the nice atmosphere. The upstairs area is air conditioned and since it's located on street #1, you get to see the busy people of Battambang go about their daily lives. Cambodia Bans Internet Cafes Near Schools

To agree with this circular would be go against the freedom of choice and freedom of choice should be everyone's right to practice it freely. I really do not agree that closing all internet cafe's in school area's will have any effect on where kids will go to get their internet fix. Student's will choose to do what they do when they want to. If they choose to risk their studies over some internet gaming and other things, then that's they choice they have to deal with when they get older and realize that what they did was not worth it. This is something that a Dictator would instill to prevent those who choose to use the internet for freedom of information. The internet is a vast world filled with information and learning material. To take away that would be only taking away from those who choose to use the internet for the right reason. I say that these bans are unnecessary and uncalled for.
