Mechanic in a fix after his motorbike is stolen A young mechanic in Phnom Penh may have known how to fix motorbikes, but he couldn’t prevent being tricked out of his own. Police arrested a 25-year-old man on Thursday for “borrowing” the mechanic’s bike, supposedly to buy medicine for his sick daughter, and never returning it. Two weeks after last seeing his bike, the mechanic filed a complaint with police, who soon spotted the borrower. The suspect said he sold the bike and spent all the money. He was sent to court. Nokorwat Mob goes after robber caught amid thievery A burglar in a house in Kampong Chhnang town on Thursday had not turned up anything exciting when the house’s owners themselves turned up and set a mob on him. The family of farmers had been out at work and returned to see the thief poking around.
