M'lop dtra-jay-uk In Battambang

M'lop Dtra-jay-uk translated (cool shade) in Battambang is a local hotspot for the locals that are spending time with family or just hanging out with friends to enjoy cold beer and food.

I can see why this place is named this way because when you enter, the whole place is covered in shade with straw huts about 2 Ft off the ground where you can enjoy your food and drink. They also have a few huts sitting along the river giving you a view of those passing by on their boats to tend to their daily business. I have been here twice and both times, this place was really busy.

Of course since this is Khmer owned, the majority of the food here is also and for a little over $10, me and 3 others were able to enjoy several great Khmer dishes and 2 pitchers of beer.  Great deal! you say? Well of course! So if your guys are out to try something a little different, then I really suggest this place. This spot is one of my favorites.
The only thing that this place doesn't offer is free Wi-Fi but who really needs it when your in a place like this. Of course it would be a positive thing but most that come here don't come to be on there computers. The servers are friendly here and food comes in a reasonable time.

I can't really give you a pin point of where this place is located but I can give you the general idea on how to find it. This place is located along the river road 159D going south. It should be in between road 213 and street 305 (please look at bottom of page for map.) sitting along the river side. If you happen to get lost which some might, you can always ask the locals.

Overall, this place is great! Cheap food, cheap beer, quite private settings and lots of shade!

Phnom Sampov

Phnom Sampoue is a natural resort located along the National Road No 57 at Sam Pouy Commune, approximately 12- kilometers  from the province town of Battambang. On top of this mountain are three temple sites and 3 natural water wells, namely Pkar Slar, Lo Khoun, Ak So Pheak. Also, next to Sam Pouy mountain, there are other main mountains sites like Phnom Trung Moan, Phnom Trung Tea, Phnom Neang Rum Say Sork. These mountains are related to the folk legend of Reach Kol Neang Run Say Sork. I have been to this place once and it is a nice place to visit. What I really liked was the little monkeys that don't seem to be afraid of those passing by.

This Former Gang-Banger Is Banging Out Delicious Cubans in Cambodia

S ix years ago, Ry Mam boarded an international flight from LAX with three other Cambodians and two US marshals. “If any of you try to run, we’ll shoot you,” one of the marshals told the Cambodians. Mam thought that was strange—they were on an airplane and, anyway, he could have run a long time ago.
